NBA legend Kobe Bryant was recently honored by the TCL Chinese Theatre in a special LA event. The Los Angeles Lakers legend’s hand and foot imprints were unveiled by his family on March 15. Much to fans’ delight, Kobe’s imprints will now remain on permanent display at the iconic theatre. Among the attendees of the memorable ceremony were Lakers owner Jeanie Buss and coach Byron Scott. Both Buss and Scott gave a heartfelt speech along with Natalia at the event. Shortly after the ceremony, Vanessa Bryant took to social media to share a special message for Kobe’s closest friends and family.

There is no doubt that Kobe Bryant is among the few basketball legends who have had a hand in transforming the league into what it is today. The 5x NBA champion has left an incredible legacy behind that very few can match.

Shortly after the memorable ceremony, Vanessa Bryant uploaded a photo on her Instagram handle with a caption to commemorate the event. The picture was of her standing alongside Jeanie Buss, Byron Scott, Natalia, Bianka, and Capri. In the caption, Vanessa thanked her eldest daughter Natalia, Buss, and Scott for the kind words they delivered during the ceremony.

Her heartfelt gratitude garnered the attention of thousands of fans including several fellow basketball wives. Stephen Curry’s wife/cookbook author Ayesha and Shaquille O’Neal’s ex-wife/TV personality Shaunie Henderson each sent their love by dropping a like on Vanessa’s post.

Natalia gives an emotional speech about her superstar dad

Among the few who were given the opportunity to say a few words in Kobe Bryant’s honor was his eldest daughter, Natalia Bryant. The 20-year-old budding model talked about her hard-working dad and his major accomplishments. Furthermore, she opened up about Kobe’s role as a father and named him the ‘MVP of girl dads’.

Byron Scott agreed with Natalia and told PEOPLE, “She’s right. He loved his girls. I’ve never seen a father display the love that he displayed for his girls as much as I saw Kobe.”

The Black Mamba lost his life alongside his daughter, Gianna Bryant, in the unfortunate Calabasas helicopter crash that occurred on January 26, 2020.
