Stephen Curry has achieved almost everything on the basketball court with his otherworldly talents. He is fresh off a season in which he led the Golden State Warriors to another NBA title. While his last season was one of the most memorable of his career, Curry added another momentous occasion to his resume when he returned to his alma mater, Davidson College, this Wednesday.

Curry, before stepping foot into the league, was the king of his college campus. He attended Davidson from 2006 to 2009. In those three years, he gave the college an entire ocean of memories, using his basketball talents. However, what he didn’t do was complete his education. Therefore, #30 completed his degree in May, 13 years after he exited college for the NBA draft.

Curry was honored with a solo graduation ceremony by the college after completing his bachelor’s degree. Furthermore, the star point guard was honored with Davidson Hall of Fame induction and jersey retirement.

Stephen Curry‘s one-man graduation ceremony drew tens of thousands of attendees. On what was a genuinely memorable day for the point guard, he was surrounded by friends and family members.

Stephen Curry was a star for the Davidson basketball team and contributed to establishing a winning culture throughout his three years there. He spearheaded his squad all the way to the Elite Eight in the 2008 NCAA Tournament.

Impressed by his exploits in college, the Warriors selected him with the seventh overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft.

Stephen Curry returned to college for the spring 2022 semester, 13 years after leaving for the NBA. The former Davidson guard obtained his degree with the assistance of numerous professors. He obtained a Bachelor of Arts with a major in sociology.

Curry recently discussed the source of inspiration for him to re-enroll in college and finish his education in an interview. He admitted that he didn’t want to put off his studies any longer in order to avoid being embarrassed by his daughter, Riley.

?My oldest daughter is getting older,??said?Curry in an interview. ?I wanted to make sure I didn?t graduate the same year she did.?

Everyone in the room burst out laughing as Curry discussed his reasoning. However, the guard subsequently disclosed that it was a promise to his college coach, Bob McKillop, and his family that he would finish his studies one day after leaving Davidson in 2009.
