Stephen Curry injured his left shoulder late in the third quarter during the December 15 game against the Indiana Pacers. The Warriors superstar has been diagnosed with a subluxation in his left shoulder. He is likely to be sidelined for around a month. The Warriors find themselves in a tough spot after losing Curry. They have been heavily dependent on the four-time NBA champ’s shooting skills for over a decade.

In a recent discussion at ESPN, NBA analysts Stephen A. Smith and Kendrick Perkins debated whether the Golden State Warriors were finished after the recent injury concerns involving Stephen Curry. Smith showed some hope in the Warriors’ roster, claiming the team still had a chance despite Curry’s absence. However, Perkins felt that Golden State were ‘finished’.
During his critical take on the Warriors, the NBA analyst also warned Stephen Curry about a huge threat to his career upon his return to the court.
Kendrick Perkins warns Stephen Curry about massive threat
While ranting about the Warriors’ chances, Kendrick Perkins shared that Stephen Curry could face problems with his shoulder even after his recovery from the injury. Having been through shoulder surgery himself, Perkins indicated that Stephen Curry is dealing with a ‘lingering injury’.
Further, Perkins continued, “And any given time it could happen again throughout the season and come back to haunt you. So when I look at the Warriors they just don’t have it and are they finished? yes.”
In other words, Perkins believed that Curry’s shoulder injury could cause him problems ahead in the season by resurfacing again. In fact, his shoulder injury could pose a recurring threat to his successful career and his dream of winning more championships for the Dubs.

Kendrick Perkins made a bold claim while talking about the Golden State Warriors. He claimed to have the same amount of hope about the Warriors winning the championship as he had about having breakfast with former POTUS Barack Obama. Moreover, Perkins reckoned that the Los Angeles Clippers and Memphis Grizzlies appeared to be better teams than Golden State in the Western Conference this season.?
Additionally, Perkins stated that he had no trust in the defensive abilities and bench strength of the Dubs. He pointed out that Moses Moody was underperforming and Warriors coach Steve Kerr did not trust Jonathan Kuminga’s basketball IQ. The former Celtics center also stressed the absence of James Wiseman from the Golden State bench.
