Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry has had one hell of a year so far. After winning his fourth ring and his first Finals MVP, Curry became the second NBA player to host the ESPYs after LeBron James. And he didn’t hold back in his opening monologue as he roasted his own kids while throwing shots at NFL legend Tom Brady.

After his Finals win, Curry was chosen to host the ESPYs this year. Curry has been on vacation mode for some time now and not a lot of people expected him to come back and host the awards. But he did and he had a brilliant opening segment. He threw some shade on LeBron James as well before going to Tom Brady who came back last year after announcing his retirement a few months before.

Stephen Curry trolls his kids while throwing shade on Tom Brady’s retirement

The opening monologue of an ESPYs host is usually used for trolling athletes and teams. But Stephen Curry went a step further as he trolled his own kids. Curry said, “When the announcement came out that I was hosting the ESPY awards, there was a lot of questions. ‘You just came off a grueling year, an unbelievable Finals. Why don’t you just go on vacation, kick your feet up and relax, why you keep filing up the schedule.'”

But Curry hadn’t finished with Tom Brady yet. He added, “Tom Brady, speaking off, is the only guy I know on Earth, who would rather get hit by Aaron Donald than hang out with a supermodel. We all make choices, sometimes you don’t understand them.”
