The Boston Celtics and the Golden State Warriors are one game each in the NBA finals in the 2021-22 season. After the Celtics took the lead in game 1, the Warriors came back with a fitting reply in game 2. Jayson Tatum and co bullied out a victory with an utterly dominant 4th quarter to put game 1 to bed. Whereas Stephen Curry led the Warriors to a similar feat in game 2 when the Warriors held the game by the scruff of the neck and dominated the 3rd quarter and eventually won the game.
The game series has already given us all that it promised. The two teams have proven why they are in the finals. While game 1 was evidence of why the Celtics were a tough opponent, game 2 showed why the Warriors were playing their 6th final in 8 years. After Steve Kerr praised his team, Steph said a few words about equalizing 1-1 in such a fashion.

Steph was asked what word would he use to describe their game 2 victory after Steve called in breathtaking. He said, “I mean just impactful, in terms of just trying to help us win the game. There’s a time where you’re trying to exercise the demons of what happened in game one and not let the momentum slip.”
“And understand how Boston plays. We needed to create separation and needed to figure out a way to, you know, really take hold of that game and get back into the series,” said Steph about bouncing back from the game 1 defeat.

He continued, ?So there was just a moment he hit a couple big shots, to get a couple good shots, get the ball moving a little bit and get our crowd into it. And we took care of business. So hopefully we can bottle up whatever that was, that momentum you know, take it on the road, bring it here to Boston and try to steal game three.?
