NBA superstar Stephen Curry has cemented himself as one of the best shooters ever with his efficiency in shooting the ball. Curry has also displayed his limitless range when it comes to shooting. And, like any good shooter, Stephen Curry knows how to get free for an open shot. However, he can create for himself with his nifty handle. When he was still up and coming, Curry’s ball-handling workouts made people turn their heads.
Then came his pre-game shooting workout which made fans look at him in awe as he shot from impossible angles and range. Be it home or away, fans loved seeing Curry make the shot from the tunnel. In August 2018, Curry was in attendance on ‘The Bill Simmons‘ podcast. This was after he helped the Golden State Warriors win the title back-to-back against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

During the chat, Simmons asked about Curry’s pre-game shooting workout. The host talked about Game 2 of the Finals in Cleveland, where they were able to capture Curry making the shot from the tunnel. After he made that shot, the host believed Curry would have a great game and he did. However, Stephen Curry revealed that is not always the case.

In Game 2 of the 2018 Finals, Stephen Curry had a great game as he scored 33 points with 7 rebounds, and 8 assists against LeBron James and the Cavs. After Simmons asked about the tunnel shot?Curry said, “It worked out that night. But the first time I scored 50 at Oracle, I had the worst shooting workout of all time.”?He continued, “And then I kinda forgot about it, got out to the game and had my first 50-point game.”?

The 2018 NBA Finals were the fourth straight Finals between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Warriors. The Warriors won the first Finals in 2015, 4-2. Surprisingly, Andre Iguodala won the Finals MVP over NBA MVP Curry.
In 2016, Stephen Curry and the Warriors made history as they broke the NBA regular season record. Stephen Curry won the NBA MVP back-to-back. And the 73-9 team was expected to win it all that year.
And the Warriors came out flying as they had the Cavs on the ropes with a 3-1 series lead. However, LeBron James and the Cavaliers didn’t give up as they crawled their way back into the series, tying it at 3-3. And the Cavs went on to win the 2016 NBA Finals 4-3 by winning Game 7.
