Stephen Curry is one of the few players who can be considered a game-changer in the sport. The four-time NBA champion is a star for the Golden State Warriors organization and also an inspiration to many off-court. The eight-time NBA All-Star and his wife Ayesha Curry decided to give back to the community back in 2019 with their charitable foundation, Eat. Learn. Play. The foundation is aimed to improve the lives of underserved children.

While attending the third annual summer day of the charitable organization, Curry stated the vision that he has for the foundation moving forward. In the process, he also expressed his thoughts on what they want from it.

Stephen Curry and Ayesha Curry started the organization back in 2019 with the main objective of improving the lives of children from low-income communities in Oakland, CA. The idea and the organization would surely be expanding to different regions around the country moving forward.

The ELP foundation has made non-stop efforts since its inception to improve the life of Oakland kids. In 2020, the foundation made sure that the millions of meals that it stores are safe, sound, and healthy, thanks to its partnership with Lineage Logistics.

The four-time NBA champion spoke on the organization’s third annual day and had inspiring words to say, ?Impact, not legacy.? The eight-time All-Star further added, ?We always talk about making it about the work, It?s bigger than just us, bigger than our names.?

These thoughtful words coming from the Golden State Warriors star had a lot of insight in them. Elite athletes work hard throughout their lives to achieve success just a few times. Their legacy is very important to them. However, Curry highlighted the importance of making an impact in our world rather than leaving behind a glamorous legacy.

Curry?s previous charity work

The Golden Warriors superstar has not shied away from helping people even before he started his charitable foundation. In 2017, Curry attended the convocation ceremony at Liberty University to support the donation of 20,000 shoes to children from the Republic of Congo.

Back in the 2012-13 season, Curry traveled to Tanzania to take part in the United Nations? ?Nothing but Nets? campaign. The campaign was created to fight Malaria in the African country. Curry had previously said that the trip moved him, and he decided to donate 3 mosquito nets for families in Tanzania for every 3 pointer that he scored.
