While talking about Durant’s departure from the Warriors, Smith stated that he didn’t just leave an organization, but he left a player like Stephen Curry. He said, “What will forever be attached to him is that he left Steph Curry to join Kyrie Irving.” Further, he added that Durant placed his trust in a player like Irving, who found several ways to cause trouble off the court and ended up in the headlines.
