Stephen Curry has been the talk of the town ever since his Golden State Warriors won the NBA championship. In the process, Steph earned his first Finals MVP and potentially cemented his legacy as an all-time great. While it was a historic run for the star player, one of the most iconic moments came after he seemingly put the Boston Celtics away for good. He busted out the ‘night, night’ celebration, which became famous during the Warriors’ run to the title.

Recently, Sabrina Ionescu, WNBA player and NBA legend Kobe Bryant’s prodigy hit the ‘night, night’ celebration. It has become one of the most iconic celebrations of recent times with various sporting personalities around the world using it. Ionescu hit the celebration after drilling a three-pointer as her New York Liberty put away the Atlanta Dream.
Steph reposted a video of the moment with the caption, ‘Start a movement. Congrats All-Star starter!’.

Ionescu shared a special bond with Kobe and his daughter, Gigi Bryant. The Black Mamba was like a mentor to her and she reciprocated the same for his daughter. She has become one of the best players in the league.
Stephen Curry started a movement with his iconic celebration
Stephen Curry hit the ‘night, night’ celebration against every opponent the Golden State Warriors faced in the playoffs. He first used it in the first round against the Denver Nuggets. He hit the celebration again against both the Memphis Grizzlies and the Dallas Mavericks.
As the Warriors put away the Boston Celtics in Game 6 of the NBA Finals, Steph brought out the celebration for one last time this season. It has become so popular that Steph actually got t-shirts made of it. Even head coach, Steve Kerr wore one.

As the celebration became more famous, people from around the world started using it more and more. From WNBA to MLB, the ‘night, night’ celebration has become a symbol of players/teams putting their opponents to “sleep”, confirming their win over them.
