According to Heavy Sports, the younger Splash Brother Klay Thompson could reportedly opt to leave the Warriors after his current contract period ends. Thompson’s contract is active with the Warriors until 2024 summer. A Western Conference executive broke the speculation to Heavy Sports. The executive said, “You know, he grew up with his dad as a player, mostly for the Los Angeles Lakers, so they’re a team he could look to leave for.”

He further fancied Thompson’s chances to play for the Portland Trail Blazers. He further added, “They love him. It would be hard to imagine him actually suiting up in another uniform.” This speculation hit NBA fans as a complete shocker.

While the Dubs have a series of games at their home now, they are expected to come back alive in their playoff run.
