However, about five minutes into the third quarter, after driving for a layup and getting denied at the rim, Doncic suffered a hard fall. Subsequently, to the absolute horror of many Dallas fans, the Slovenian superstar grabbed his ankle, wincing in pain. Soon after, he headed to the locker room, limping, for further examination and did not return for the game.

The game remained close till the final minutes before the Mavericks narrowly beat the Pelicans with the final score of 111-106. Since the scary fall, Doncic has been trending all night on social media. However, in the morning, NBA writer Tim MacMohan broke some disheartening news for the NBA world.

MacMohan reported that Doncic had an MRI and did not practice. However, the severity of the injury has been determined as ‘not severe’, and he has been deemed questionable for the upcoming matchup against the Stephen Curry-led Golden State Warriors.
