After two difficult seasons, the Golden State Warriors won the NBA Championship in a dream campaign. The team was written off by experts, not many expecting a title win so soon. Furthermore, this championship was Stephen Curry’s fourth NBA title victory.
The 34-year-old was exceptional throughout the season, even securing his elusive Finals MVP trophy. Curry has led the team for this one moment, shedding tears of joy as GSW lifted their fourth trophy in eight years.

Of course, nothing would have been possible without Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and the remaining roster. The team has stayed together through tough times, ultimately winning the same season Thompson returned. Unfortunately, not everyone seemed to agree.
Stephen Curry subtly calls out Kendrick Perkins after the title win
Throughout the season, the Dubs were at the receiving end of some heavy trolling. Former Boston Celtics star Kendrick Perkins, with various bold claims, was one of the trollers. From claiming that Curry will do ‘nothing‘ in Game 6 to saying he will win zero titles, Perkins had been loudly supporting the Celtics.

However, the Warriors had to prove Perkins ? and everyone who agreed ? wrong. Curry dropped 34 points in Game 6, taking home a 103-90 win and the MVP trophy. Additionally, Thompson, Green, and Andrew Wiggins all stepped up to support the star.
Interestingly, Curry seemed aware of Perkins’ words. The two-time NBA MVP mirrored the same ‘zero’ action in front of his eyes during his post-game interview, sending a reply to the former NBA player.
Perkins apologies promptly
That being said, Perkins was quick on his apology. The 37-year-old apologized to Curry, Thompson, Green, and the Warriors, well aware of all the disrespect he has caused.
Well let me go ahead and get my apology out the way right now!!! I’m sorry Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and the Golden State Warriors for the disrespect this season. God Bless America!

Though Perkins said a lot of things about the team, Curry seems to have zeroed down on him winning no titles. This is Curry’s fourth NBA win, and probably the most meaningful one yet. Interestingly, their apparent beef goes back to the 2018 Finals, where the older player did not move his legs out of the way.

While one cannot necessarily call this a beef or rivalry, Perkins’ comment grew as the season progressed. However, the Warriors’ game seems to have gotten an apology out of the 2008 NBA Champion.
