It seems like only yesterday when Sports Illustrated lauded Stephen Curry to be a calm and composed player. However, the Golden State Warriors superstar was arguably anything but on Tuesday night against the Milwaukee Bucks at the Fiserv Forum. In fact, both Curry and Warriors head coach Steve Kerr flew off their handles over decisions made by the referees.

The referee’s whistles rained down on them from the onset of the game. The Warriors got five technical fouls with the Bucks collecting three. But what surprised the spectators was the heated argument that Stephen Curry and Steve Kerr got into with the referees.

It was evident from Curry’s wrath that he was angry that the referee did not call a foul on a three-pointer he made. Curry was seemingly pushed to the floor by Wesley Matthews. He chased the referee signaling him to call a foul. Meanwhile, the Milwaukee Bucks rebounded the ball and scored a basket.

Curry shouted at the referee to “wake the f**k up“, for which he got issued with a technical foul. Furthermore, he was seen venting out his anger to his teammates.

The camera then panned to a yelling, vein-popping Steve Kerr. The referee gave him a technical foul as the stunned crowd watched on. Fans could see even Bucks’ superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo?looking at the incident as it unfolded.

The Golden State Warriors were left red-faced and barking at the apparent unfairness of the referee’s calls.

After their 128-111 loss to the Bucks on the night, Steve Kerr exploded and blasted the officials, “That needs to be called. That’s what he does. It’s Steph Curry. You can’t miss that“. Curry finished the game with 20 points, a far cry from his usual magic. Antetokounmpo scored 30 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists in the game.
