The Golden State Warriors are on the brink of making it into the top eight teams in the Western Conference. With some of the season still left, it seemed like a few more W’s to their tally would seal a spot for them in the playoffs. However, the Dubs have had bad luck in keeping their players fit to play. And now, Steph Curry has succumbed to the injury curse as well.
This raises a plethora of questions. How did Steph get injured and what is the timeline for his return? Most importantly, what does this mean for the Warriors?

The Golden State Warriors are up against the Eastern Conference leaders, the Philadelphia 76ers, tonight. This is the third game in a row that Steph has been absent from the lineup, and this could affect the end result of the game majorly. But what has happened to Curry?
During the third quarter against the Houston Rockets, the three-time NBA Champion was going for a three-pointer, which he missed. But the momentum pulled him back to the sidelines, near the Rockets’ bench, and then he tripped. Unable to move off the floor after the unfortunate fall, Curry was taken to the locker room and remained out for the rest of the game.

Although the Dubs won that matchup and Curry ended the night with 18 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds, it had fans worried about his health long-term. Later, it was announced that Steph had endured a tailbone injury and no set timeline for his return was given at the time.
Do the Warriors have nothing to worry about?
Curry’s absence in the following two games had the Memphis Grizzlies taking full advantage of his unavailability. They defeated the Warriors in their second face-off by 111-103. This makes everyone ponder over how long the Dubs will have to suffer without their star player.
Well, it looks like Steve Kerr has some good news and has given some relief to the Warriors fans. As per Anthony Slater, “Steve Kerr said he still believes Steph Curry’s absence for this tailbone injury will be short term: “Yeah. Yeah. Definitely. Not something we’re concerned about.”
