Many fans already know how big of a football fanatic LeBron James really is. He probably would’ve been in the NFL if he weren?t playing in the NBA. Recently, the Los Angeles Lakers side was seen playing football after one of their losses, which struck up some drama on the internet. And now, when James decided to give a shout-out to a young college football player, the internet displayed no mercy to ?King James.??

James has often said that his choice came down to playing football or basketball. After all, he arguably has the athletic physique for either of them. Though NBA fans will undoubtedly agree it?s a good thing he chose basketball instead.

For an NBA player to relax and enjoy his time off the court is natural. Basketball would be the last thing on their mind since their life is surrounded by the game most of the time. However, fans wouldn?t let James have a few moments to himself as he tried to encourage a young wide receiver on social media.?

Fans however were ruthless, slamming the four-time NBA champion over it. One fan tweeted, ?Stay out of college football talk. You know nothing about it.??

Fans were seemingly not on board with the fact that LeBron was watching and following college football instead of focusing on helping the Lakers win.

Notably, the 18-time All-Star just came off perhaps one of the most iconic performances in his career. He capped off his 38th birthday by scoring 47 points along with 10 rebounds and 9 assists against the Atlanta Hawks.?

The Lakers are still in the bottom half of the Western Conference with a 15-21 record so far.?Anthony Davis‘ injury has put the team in a tight corner with no other player being able to give the same point production as of yet.
