The Los Angeles Lakers had an extremely tumultuous 2022-23 NBA season. After a weak start, the Lakers managed to defy all odds to make it to the Western Conference Finals. Unfortunately, the Lakers lost to this year?s eventual NBA champions, the Denver Nuggets. Now, the future of Los Angeles may seem bleak as adding a third-star player to the team?s roster may not happen this offseason, leading the team to face heat online.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis did a great job keeping the Lakers afloat. The trade to bring D?Angelo Russell in exchange for Patrick Beverley did help the team, but not enough to win it all. And now, it looks like Lakeshow will have to make do with the roster they have on their hands.

LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers may have been able to make strides this past season. However, for the team to pull off another deep run like the one they had may be easier said than done. Anthony Davis suffered constant injuries that kept him on the bench for a fair amount of time, whereas, LeBron James turned 38 last season. And even though James has barely shown signs of slowing down, it will happen sooner or later.
