The Los Angeles Lakers were struggling with their squad from the start of the season, and the fans wanted to see some improvements to the squad. The fans were excited about the trade. But that might not be the case for Lakers rookie Scottie Pippen Jr. whose mother dated Beasley not so long ago.

Many have given their take on the whole situation of Pippen Jr. playing alongside Beasley. Recently, Shaquille O?Neal was asked about it during his podcast, and he likely set an example for dealing with such questions.

WNBA star Candace Parker joined Shaquille O’Neal and Nischelle Turner in the latest episode of the Big Podcast with Shaq. During the sit-down, the trio discussed various exciting things that had happened recently, including some trades. In one instance, while talking about the Los Angeles Lakers, Turner brought up Malik Beasley joining the Lakers. She then asked Shaq whether Scottie Pippen Jr. should ask to be traded because of Beasley’s history with Larsa Pippen. But the four-time NBA champion did not want to talk about it. At least initially.

Shaq said, “I’m not going to answer out of respect. Shareef and him [Pippen Jr.] are partners. I know his father [Scottie Pippen] and all the other stuff. I see it but I can’t confirm it. Listen, I’m messy but if I know you, I can’t go in on your wife or your baby mama or your mama. I can’t do it.”?

However, he drew up an interesting scenario about Beasley and Pippen Jr during practise. O’Neal added, “But you know what’s messed up? If they play one-on-one, and he hit a jumper in his face, and then go, ‘Yo mama’. Fadeaway, ‘Yo mama’.”?

The two-time WNBA champion could not understand how Shaq was staying out of the situation with this comment. Even though O’Neal did not wholly remain out of the topic, he refrained from giving any strong opinion about the whole ordeal like a few other basketball analysts or podcasters.

Larsa Pippen has been making the headlines in the past few months because of her relationship with Michael Jordan’s son Marcus. A few months before dating Marcus, Larsa was dating Malik Beasley. Scottie Pippen even called Beasley a “loser.” However, it turned ugly quickly when Beasely’s ex-girlfriend locked horns with Larsa on social media.
