Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green has been facing severe backlash after stomping on the Kings star Damontas Sabonis. Green got suspended for his offense and the Warriors had to face the Kings without their star defender in Game 3 of the crucial matchup. Nonetheless, Draymond Green continues to remain unfazed by the situation. Besides, Dray also subtly compared himself to the legendary Michael Jordan in a recent media conference, prompting another wave of backlash from NBA fans.
Prior to getting ready for the fourth game, the 4x-NBA champion has yet again revealed that he does not care much about the NBA penalizing him heavily. After Draymond Green got suspended for the third game, the hoops world wondered if the NBA has created something called ‘Draymond Rules’ to contain Green’s reckless actions. The former Defensive Player of the Year addressed the concept in a recent sit-down.

Draymond Green’s suspension from the third game has been a hot topic in the hoops world. Questions were raised regarding the player’s suspension. Many believed that the NBA made the decision to suspend Green taking Green’s history of unsportsmanlike acts into account.
Apparently, while Dray was addressing the media on Saturday, he was asked if the league has created ‘Draymond Rules’ to tackle his antics. The 4x-NBA champion explained he does not care if such rules exist. Besides, he added that he will play the game the way he always played. “As long as they’re creating Draymond Rules, that means we’re winning and that’s great,”?Draymond Green said.
The usage ‘Draymond Rules’ is reminiscent of the infamous ‘Jordan Rules’ employed by the Detroit Pistons to stop Michael Jordan from scoring. At the heart of the ‘Jordan Rules’ was the use of physical force. The very employment of such a crude defensive strategy meant that Michael Jordan was a scoring machine and teams had to resort to such physical ways to stop him from adding points to his tally.
Now that Draymond Green has spoken at length about the ‘Draymond Rules’ and revealed his stance, fans have started to call Dray out for this subtle allusion to the Bulls legend.
