Pictures dropped the trailer of ‘House Party’ on October 14, 2022. The movie is a remake of the 1990 film of the same name.

The movie was first announced in 2018. Back then, Carter had said that a cameo by LeBron James in the movie was a possibility. And fans who have already watched the trailer very well know if the Los Angeles Lakers star has decided to polish his acting skills or not. Talking more about the project, James said that the upcoming movie will not be exactly like the classic and will be shown from the new generation’s perspective.
“This is definitely not a reboot. It’s an entirely new look for a classic movie. Everyone I grew up with loved ‘House Party’. To partner with this creative team to bring a new ‘House Party’ to a new generation is unbelievable,” said James.
Fans are skeptical about the upcoming movie produced by LeBron James
The 1990 ‘House Party’ garnered positive reviews from both audiences and critics. It is a critically acclaimed movie that has an approval rating of 93% on Rotten Tomatoes. Several critics commended the movie for its originality and comical plot. Furthermore, the film collected a whopping $26.4 million in contrast to its $2.5 million budget.
The star cast included hip-hop duo, Christopher “Kid” Reid and Christopher “Play” Martin, also accompanied by Martin Lawrence and many more stellar actors. The ‘House Party’ series consists of five movies to date, including the 2023 release.
