But surprisingly, many fans forget that Rodman also played for the San Antonio Spurs in his prime.

Dennis Rodman criticizes Greg Popovich after an ugly exit from the Spurs
Dennis Rodman won 5x championships with the Chicago Bulls and the Detroit Pistons in his Hall of Fame career. But little is known about his brief tenure at the San Antonio Spurs. After an ugly exit from the team in 1995, Rodman lashed out at the then GM and Vice president of operations, Greg Popovich, in his book ‘Bad as I wanna be.’
According to Rodman, the ‘power-hungry’ Popovich was pulling the strings behind the scenes to ‘tame’ him. Rodman dubbed Popovich as the “biggest problem in San Antonio.”?He further revealed how Popovich had established a toxic system of command. He said, “Popovich would jump his a**, and so Hill would turn around and jump somebody else?s a**. S*** flows downhill, and it seemed like I was always at the bottom.?
Rodman’s stint with the Spurs

Despite their differences, the Spurs and Rodman pairing resulted in a successful season. In the 1994-95 season, the San Antonio Spurs were the best team in the league, with a record of 62-20. They also had an impressive playoff run that ended with an exit in the WCF.
However, the Spurs had enough of Dennis the menace.?Gripes with teammates and coaches, suspensions, and off-season drama marked Rodman’s tumultuous seasons with the Spurs. In 1995, the inevitable happened, and Rodman was traded from the team to the Chicago Bulls.

The Worm was instrumental in the historical run of the Chicago Bulls in the late 90s, marked by a three-peat. The trio of Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman resulted in 3x NBA championships in a dominating fashion.
