“S**t a Conspiracy at This Point”: 1,493 Days Since Last Face-Off, Grim Kevin Durant News Also Whips LeBron James Fans

Basketball games get more exciting for fans if some of the leading stars of the league lock horns against each other on the hardwood. Such games would be an absolute treat for fans, especially with the likes of LeBron James and Kevin Durant who seem to rarely face each other. However, both of these greats missed a lot of games due to injuries over the last few seasons. Currently, the duo hasn’t faced each other for over 1,493 days on the court, but that fact doesn’t seem to impress NBA fans, who swarmed on Twitter with their varied opinions regarding the equation. 

Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant has had some rough seasons in the past few years. The ‘Slim Reaper’ went through major injuries during this time. KD tore his Achilles during his stint with the Golden State Warriors. Following the injury, he missed a complete season for his rehabilitation. Moreover, Durant again fell prey to a knee injury this season and has missed a considerable amount of games. 

Fans dismiss Kevin Durant – LeBron James ‘conspiracy’

In a recent tweet by NBACentral’s Twitter handle, Kevin Durant will reportedly likely miss next week’s matchup vs LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers. The tweet revealed that the last time fans got a LeBron vs KD matchup was Christmas Day in 2018. The Lakers and the Nets are set to face each other this season on January 30.

Following the tweet, fans online had plenty to say regarding the matchup. While a certain section of the fans even called it an unwanted conspiracy, some fans eagerly wanted the stars to go against each other. One user said, “S**t a conspiracy at this point.”

KD credits LeBron

In a recent podcast, Kevin Durant spoke highly of the Lakers’ star. During one of the segments of the show, the host asked the two-time NBA champion to express his opinion on several NBA stars. When the host named LeBron James, Durant replied almost instantly. He said, “Greatest and most accomplished.” Durant also expressed in the show that ‘King James’ was one of his inspirations growing up.
