The Knicks used to be a top 5 defensive team but right now they are in the bottom 10. Their offseason moves have not worked out as they had expected and they are just a poor team dynamic at times. They have also been hampered by injuries as Derrick Rose has been out for months.

They are currently the 12th seed in the east with a 24-28 record in 52 games. As for Randle, he was an All-Star for the first time last season but has not been the same player this season.
