The Dallas Mavericks may be in the sixth spot in the Western Conference with a 27-25 record, but that did not stop Luka Doncic to aim for the record books. As the Mavericks took down the Detroit Pistons in their last matchup, Luka Doncic set another record to join a group of elite names after doing the same only a few weeks back. However, his post-game comments may not have sat well with a few fans as he displayed a hostile attitude towards the Pistons coach.

As the game was about to come to a close, Luka Doncic was seen heading to the bench. However, on his way to the Mavericks bench, he got into it with the Detroit Pistons’ assistant coach before being separated by teammates and officials.

Luka joined another historic category

Luka Doncic?s 53-point performance was impressive regardless of the fact that it came against the Pistons. After this 50-point performance, Doncic became the fourth player in the last 50 years to have four 50-point games before the month of February.

The other three to achieve the feat are Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and James Harden. Not only that, but Doncic also joined an elite company of the same three names after averaging the highest point-per-game production this season.

So, it may be time for the Mavericks’ front office to shake up their roster just a little to help out Doncic a bit. A big blockbuster trade may not be in the works but that does not mean that the team cannot look for role players who can take the offensive load off of Doncic.
