NBA Legend Shaquille O?Neal is a person who is multi-talented and multi-faceted. Apart from being one of the all-time greats, the Big Diesel has tried his hand in acting, business, music, and other ventures. But once Shaquille O’Neal considered a career in screenwriting, just because he changed two words in a script.
Back in 1996, Shaq entered the free agency market, and he was one of the hottest products on the market. And he went on an interview for Playboy magazine and talked about his latest venture in Hollywood, ‘Kazaam’. And how he would bring a complete package rather than just being a player.

Then he talked about what other professions he has tried his hand in.
Shaquille O?Neal thought he can be a screenwriter
Shaquille O’Neal has prospered in a multitude of fields. Besides he has always had the potential to flourish in a variety of things. As it turns out, one of such professions was that of a screenwriter, or at least that’s what the Los Angeles Lakers legend believes. Shaq has been part of dozens of films and commercials where he would have to recite a few lines.
And sometimes he would play around with those lines. For example, “Blue Chips”, Shaq changed two words. The original line was “Somebody owes me a hundred dollars” and Shaq changed it to “Somebody owes my a** a hundred dollars.”

However, Shaq did not eventually end up being a screenwriter. But instead, he went to the Lakers to join a young Kobe Bryant. The two stars took a few years to hit their prime. And once they did, there was no stopping them.
They won three titles in a row and cemented themselves as one of the greatest duos of all time. But their feud would lead to the team splitting up. Subsequently, Shaq would get traded to the Miami Heat. And there he would get to play with a young Dwyane Wade and win another title.

Shaq would then bounce around on multiple teams, but injuries derailed the latter part of his career. Finally, he retired from the game in 2011. And now he works as a basketball analyst and is a highly successful businessman. He would not become a screenwriter, but he would go on to write a few books.
