Michael Jordan was nervous about his second comeback
In a 2001 interview with Ahmad Rashad, MJ shared his thoughts on his return to the NBA. Jordan admitted that he probably could not play the same level of basketball as he did when he retired, being away from the court for three years. Moreover, Jordan was occupied with his front-office responsibilities for the Wizards for the most part. However, after a disappointing season from the team, MJ decided to come out of retirement in 2001.
During the interview, Jordan further said, “Some people wouldn’t wanna see me out there playing because they have a perfect perception of how my career should end.”
