Hollywood actress Gabrielle Union made her acting debut over two decades ago and since then she has delivered some exceptional performances on the screen. Union has appeared in over 40 movies proving her veteran status in the film industry. She was also recently nominated for Best Supporting Actress for “The Inspection” at the Academy Awards. As the actress gears up for the release of her next project co-starring Keith Powers, Union took time out to give insights on the movie and her chemistry with her love interest in the film.

After parting ways with former NFL star Chris Howard, Union found love again with Miami Heat?legend Dwyane Wade, who happens to be nine years younger than her. The duo have been married for almost a decade now and have a daughter.

Gabrielle Union opens up about ‘toxic’ chemistry

“The Perfect Find” is a romantic comedy that is based on author Tia Williams’ 2016 novel of the same name. The movie features Gabrielle Union in the titular role and Keith Powers as her love interest. It also includes Former Denver Nuggets star Carmelo Anthony’s ex-wife, Lala, as one of the cast members. The movie is scheduled to be released on June 23.

Having chemistry with your co-star is one of the most important factors in acting in a romantic comedy. And apparently, Union had no such issues in delivering such emotions given that she and her husband have a good friendship with Powers. During a telephonic conversation with Vanity Four, Union talked about the importance of being comfortable with your co-star to display such chemistry.

She said, “Some people like to do the ?poke the bear? chemistry. It?s almost like an angry, toxic passion thing.” Furthermore, she added, “If you?re not comfortable, if you can?t unscrunch your shoulders or breathe or feel comfortable just being your goofy-ass self, then is that really chemistry? Or is it forced toxicity that can look like something cool onscreen? And that?s not what I was interested in.”

Union hits the beach with her family

Before getting into work mode ahead of her next release, Union and Wade spent some quality time with their daughter on the beach. The “Breaking In” actress looked blissful in the series of pictures and videos she shared on her Instagram handle. Her happiness was evident in one of the photos where she posted a quote that read, “this vibe… this peace… this happiness is unmatched.”
