Days ago, the 22-year-old received criticism for a new commercial he starred in. The fans did not hold back on his body weight. Though Williamson has been explosive and dominant due to that same body, fans seem to have a different narrative. With his latest announcement, fans found more reason to go at the 2x NBA All-Star.

Why is Zion Williamson being criticized for his latest milestone?

The 23-year-old was a star even before he joined the league. Williamson’s athleticism and dominance in college led the Pelicans to draft him as the first pick in 2019. Has Williamson lived up to his hype so far? Guess not! Williamson was injured before the start of his very first season, which kept him sidelined for a few months. The 2-time All-Star played a total of 61 games in his second season, however, was again sidelined due to an injury.?

Later again this year, a hamstring injury forced Williamson to play only 29 games in the entire season. Though he was cleared to participate in the play-in tournament this season, Williamson chose to sit out, as he felt he was not completely healthy. Ever since Williamson has been under frequent criticism. And now, Zion Williamson and his girlfriend revealed they will be parents to a baby girl soon.

Though Williamson seemed excited to be a father, fans believe this might keep him off the court more. Moreover, his girlfriend’s reactions in the video were also mocked by the fans. So much for showing support to parents-to-be!

A few days back, the 6’6 star shared a commercial in which he starred alongside college superstar Angel Reese and Timberwolves center Karl-Anthony Towns. Williamson received all the attention as the fans pointed out his excessive body weight in the comments of the Instagram video. Now, fans ridiculed the 22-year-old for they feel will be another reason for him to miss games.
