The NBA has been witness to numerous redemption stories before. Likewise, after a horrid season, the Los Angeles Lakers are on their journey back up. However, it seems LeBron James and co. want to bring others with the same motivation. And joining their mission, they re-signed ex-guard Dennis Schroder.

Schroder’s first run with the purple and gold went south. Looking to defend their throne, the Lakers were humiliated in the first round. And Schroder had arguably one of his worst series. Notably, the former Boston Celtics guard scored 0 points in one of the games against the Phoenix Suns. However, their relationship would further worsen as Schroder demanded a bigger contract.

Schroder took a smaller role after his breakup with the Lakers. However, the 28-year-old likely still has the skills to deliver. And he was in full flourish when he met one of the best modern-day players, Giannis Antetokounmpo. Leading Germany over the heavy favorites, the Los Angeles Lakers guard went off for 26 points and 8 assists against Greece in the Eurobasket quarter-finals. The flare of his game still seems to be alive.
