Damian Lillard‘s future has once again become the talk of the town as the NBA world is nearing another offseason. As usual, fans, certain analysts and the media have been begging Lillard to request a trade from Portland. Surprisingly, the 7x-NBA All-Star has recently picked two franchises that he will prefer to join if a trade happens. The Miami Heat is one of his two preferred sides. However, Lillard is now turning heads for a bizarre claim he made about joining Jimmy Butler and Co in Miami.
Though Damian Lillard is interested to join Miami, he seems to have a condition for doing so. In turn, however, Lillard spicing up trade speculations is nothing new for fans and many of them are now calling out the Portland Trail Blazers centerpiece.

As per the majority of rumors, the Heat, the Knicks and the Nets are the three teams that are likely to land Damian Lillard. In his recent appearance on Showtime’s The Last Stand?podcast, Dame Dolla picked two sides from among the three.
He remarked that Miami is his first preference as Bam Adebayo is his?“dawg”. Then Dame picked Brooklyn as his next-favorite destination, citing Mikal Bridges too as his “dawg”. Besides that, Lillard also commended the Heat for their amazing run in the postseason.
Soon, host Brian Custer highlighted how great a partnership Lillard can strike with Jimmy Butler in Miami. Dame shared he has a good equation with Butler as well. However, Lillard then spoke of his loyalty towards Portland and how he is trying to make the Trail Blazers a better side. Coming back to his potential move to Miami, Lillard said, “Miami win a championship, that definitely ain?t happening.”

NBA Central has now tweeted this condition that Dame Lillard has put forth before contemplating a move to Miami.?“Damian Lillard says he?s ?definitely? not joining Miami if they win the title,” NBA Central captioned the tweet. Quite a lot of fans have noticed the tweet and many of them are not happy with Dame Dolla and his claim.

Fans have now become habitual to Damian Lillard’s stirring of the pot amid trade speculations. The star has historically got close to requesting a trade several times, only to start for the Blazers in the next season after all.
