It seems like decades went by within seconds if you are LeBron James. It feels like only yesterday that The King was dominating at the McDonald’s All-American Game. Well, tonight the next generation of basketball talent took the center stage. The Toyota Center saw Bronny James, D.J. Wagner, and Andrej Stojakovic continue the legacies their fathers left behind. And the NBA fans were beyond hyped to see them battle it out. Moreover, Wagner and Stojakovic stole the spotlight from Bronny with their masterful performances.
48 of the best high school talents lined up in Houston for a night of entertaining basketball. The energy was different from the tip-off. It didn’t seem like an ordinary talent showcase. Each of the stars was there to compete. The West, with both Bronny and Andrej, led almost throughout the game. However, the East came roaring back in the second half to eventually win the game.
The projected number-one pick, Wagner put on a clinic in the second-half comeback for the East. He won the MVP honors for his dominant second half. As fans watched the second generation of NBA talent smidge the surface, the feeling of nostalgia set in.

LeBron James, Peja Stojakovic and Dajuan Wagner can be proud
It’s rare to see a journey backward. However, tonight that’s how the NBA fans felt after watching the sons of NBA stars battle it out at the All-American clash. LeBron James and Wagner both once suited up as McDonald’s All-Americans. On the other hand, Stojakovic carved a successful NBA career as a three-point marksman. Tonight, the fans felt like they watched this trio share the floor at the Toyota Center.
Stanford commits Andrej Stojakovic and Bronny James both represented the West. James, who has ascended in the ranks, showed off his elite shot-making ability, scoring 15 points, all from beyond the arc. Stojakovic turned back the clock when he hit an early three for the West.
D.J. Wagner emerged as the force to counter the attacks of the dual sharpshooters. The Kentucky signee scored all his 19 in the second half to lead an inspiring comeback. Among other notable performances was Isiah Collier scoring a game-high 25 points.
