The Philadelphia 76ers have the Brooklyn Nets rattled after tonight’s thrilling Game 3 win. The former Eastern Conference finalists enjoy a 3-0 hold over the series. MVP frontrunner Joel Embiid was kept quiet by the Nets. But Philly’s other weapons didn’t hold back. Tyrese Maxey and James Harden combined to lead the Sixers one step closer to a sweep. However, Brooklyn could have faced a lot more carnage if it wasn’t for the Beard‘s controversial ejection.

After the win, the former MVP was livid with the officials and didn’t hold back when speaking to the reporters.

Harden was having arguably his best game of the series so far. The Beard was making shots consistently. In just 29 minutes, the 10-time All-Star ran off for 21 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists. After a long time, it seemed Harden fans would witness the vintage monster scorer version of the superstar. However, the referees killed the vision with a bizarre call.

With Royce O’Neale guarding him, the three-time scoring champion chose a move from his deep offensive arsenal. Trying to cut from the right, Harden moved, but at the same time, the Nets guard went down. What Harden thought wasn’t even foul got him a Flagrant 2 and his first-playoff ejection. Harden’s eyes widened in shock as the officials said he hit his opponent in the ‘private area’.

After the game, the 33-year-old lashed out at the call. “I’m not labeled as a dirty player,” said Harden, reacting to tonight’s ejection. In addition, the Sixers guard also felt he never fouled O’Neale in the first place.

“I didn’t hit him hard enough for him to fall down like that. But a Flagrant 2 is unacceptable. This is a playoff game. We’ve seen it around the league, things that are much more worse than what that play was. Honestly, I didn’t even think it was a foul. But that’s unacceptable, that can’t happen,” is what The Beard had to say about his outlandish ejection.

Joel Embiid’s reaction was enough to capture the utter shock at the moment. The Philadelphia superstar had his mouth wide open, unable to comprehend what had just happened.
