After defeating the Portland Trail Blazers in their previous game, the Los Angeles Clippers took on the Oklahoma City Thunder in their next matchup. The game turned out to be anything but mundane as fans witnessed Clippers star Paul George collide with a Thunder player in the 4th quarter of the game. This left the 8x NBA All-Star in pain as he crumpled to the floor. This prompted fans to take a trip down memory lane as the mid-game incident reminded them of George’s horrific injury from 2014.
Despite having a neck-to-neck competition, the LA Clippers fell short of the OKC Thunder in Tuesday night’s game. Currently perched on the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference rankings, the Clippers were beaten 100-101. Before returning to the locker room, George dropped 18 points and seven rebounds against his former team.

The Los Angeles Clippers were tied at 91 when Paul George sustained an apparent right leg injury after clashing with Oklahoma City Thunder guard Luguentz Dort. As per the clips, George’s right knee struck Dort’s knee when the former went for a rebound late in the fourth quarter of the game. Seconds later, fans saw George crumpling to the floor in pain. Medical staff immediately rushed to the Clippers star’s aid as the 8x NBA All-Star lay on the court for several minutes.

When George finally got up, he needed assistance to exit the court and limped to the locker room. The Clippers are yet to give an update on George’s injury but going by the slow-motion video of the clash, fans believe that the NBA forward might have overextended his knee during the encounter.

This brought back bitter memories of the 2014 incident where George had sustained a horrific injury during the game. The former Indiana Pacers star was playing in the Team USA game when he pursued James Harden in transition defense. George fractured his leg in the scrimmage, following which he was carried off the court on a stretcher.

As fans witnessed Paul George limping out of the court after the incident, they were immediately reminded of George’s previous horrifying encounter. In addition, the closeup video of the clash didn’t make it better either.
