NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is a father to six kids. Over the course of his illustrious career, Shaq has amassed a monstrous $600 million net worth. Although the Big Man doesn’t stop his kids from enjoying a luxurious lifestyle, he surely has a way of making them understand the realities of life. Shaq’s way of dealing with such a situation might be something that Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett would co-sign.

Shaq has always been open about how he is as a parent and the values that he wishes his kids would embrace. Shaq is big on legacy and empire. He understands that he has created one himself. However, Shaq believes that handing out things to his kids would result in them not valuing them. That is why the LA Lakers legend thinks that the job of his children is to carry forward and add to what he has started.
In a recent interview with Monica, he said that he knows both types of parents. Those who give everything to their kids and those who make them work for it.

Similarities in Shaquille O’Neal and Warren Buffett’s methods
Despite being one of the richest men in the world, Buffet has said his kids will not inherit his wealth. He has donated billions of dollars to charity and wishes to donate 99% of his wealth in his lifetime. On similar lines, Shaq has told his kids that the money he has made in his life belongs to him. So if his kids wish for a glorious life, they’ll have to work for it.
