The Clippers were on a flight to Colorado to face the Denver Nuggets on February 25 when the incident took place. A report shared the terrible experience faced by the Clippers and the aftermath which has taken the NBA world by surprise.

It was a hard flight for the Clippers to be on. After their tough overtime loss to the Sacramento Kings by one point, the team took a flight to Colorado on February 25 to face West leaders Denver Nuggets. However, their loss to the Denver Nuggets might not be the worst thing for the players. The Delta Airlines plane in which the team traveled faced several disturbances on its way to Colorado.

The report further added, “Shortly after the Clippers landed safely in Colorado, the team saw a mark that took some of the paint off the tail of the Delta Air Lines plane”.?

The marks were reportedly the results of a mid-air lightning strike. Considering the frequent number of times NBA players use flight travel, it is no doubt the above experiences would have been traumatizing. A similar air accident had taken the life of Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant a few years back.?
Russell Westbrook and Paul George have faced a similar experience before
During their Oklahoma City Thunder days, Paul George, Russell Westbrook, and Carmelo Anthony faced a similar incident. Though the team landed safely, an unidentified object apparently hit the plane during the travel. Anthony shared pictures of the flight on his Instagram, which showed brutal marks on the nose of the plane.
