The battle between the New York Knicks and the Cleveland Cavaliers was not the only drama on Sunday. Joining the electric MSG crowd, famous American comedian Pete Davidson was having his best time in the arena, until things got intense. After Jalen Brunson’s one-man show to take a commanding lead in the series, Davidson’s physical altercation with an elderly Knicks fan has divided the NBA Twitter community into two. While a few support his actions, many seem to disapprove of them.
Several stars and celebrities packed Madison Square Garden on a big night for the franchise. Despite the presence of Timothee Chalamet, Ben Stiller, and Tracy Morgan, the stand-up comedian stole the spotlight after his interaction with a fan.?

The noise at MSG continues to increase as Brunson’s impact is felt game after game. Following a 29-point performance, the New York Knicks have taken a 3-1 series lead, one game away from making it to the Conference Semi-Finals. As this might be the last game played at MSG in this series, a few stars made sure they witnessed the game live.
Always staying under the spotlight for his dating resume, Davidson got attention yet again, but for a different purpose. Showing his support for the team with a cool Knicks jacket, Davidson was loving it until things got heated with a fan. After watching the Knicks demolition, the comedian spent some time with fans, clicking pictures on his way out when this incident happened.
After an old fan got a bit too ‘touchy’, Davidson shoved him aside, venting his frustration. Though it seemed like the old man wanted a picture, Davidson did not like the fact he was getting so close. However, this might have taken a hit on the young star’s reputation. Basketball buffs on Twitter decided to throw some shade at him. One fan commented, “Ungrateful as hell. Pete Davidson should go to jail“. Here are some of the reactions hating on the comedian:

In all the other clips I've seen that guy is there, trying to grab at him. He'd obviously been annoying him a while
