Brittney Griner has begun a new chapter in her life after being released from Russia. The WNBA star landed in Texas early morning on December 9 after the prisoner swap deal was held in the UAE. Griner is currently recovering from the physical and mental hardships she endured in Russia at the Brooke Army Medical Facility in San Antonio. She is currently staying in a residential facility on the base with her wife Cherelle Griner. However, her fight for freedom is far from over. Recently, Griner’s agent Lindsay Kagawa Colas revealed that the WNBA star will continue to fight for freedom even after her release from detention.

In a recent interview with CNN, Colas revealed that Griner was doing quite well after her return to the US. She reckoned that Griner was committed to revealing her story to the world and making efforts to bring attention to the community of ‘wrongfully detained Americans’, including former Marine Paul Whelan.
