The Serbian did not play a central role in Steve Kerr’s game plan, but his lethal 3-point marksmanship was pivotal for them. He was a vital cog in their machine, constantly providing a spark from the bench. In 71 games, he averaged 6.1 points while shooting 36% from beyond the arc.
Draymond Green revealed on his podcast that Bjelica’s departure saddened him. According to him, they developed a bond that will endure far beyond the realms of basketball. He also stated that he understood his decision to return to Turkey to be closer to his family.
Golden State Warriors have let go of several key pieces of their championship run
Last season, the Warriors won numerous hearts and showcased an unparalleled championship pedigree. However, since the commencement of the offseason, they have let go of several players who were crucial to their championship pursuit.
They kicked off the off-season by losing Gary Payton II, Otto Porter Jr., and Juan Toscano-Anderson. GPII earned a lucrative deal with the Portland Trail Blazers and OPJ took his talents to the Toronto Raptors. While JTA joined the LA Lakers.
The Warriors have lost a lot of depth this free agency 😳

The absence of Gary Payton II and Otto Porter Jr. will undoubtedly hurt the Warriors. Their energy and dynamic play on both ends of the floor were critical parts of Steve Kerr’s game plan. JTA had his share of memorable moments last season as well. The Warriors’ troubles are only?exacerbated by the departure of Nemanja Bjelica.
