Shaquille O’Neal holds a unique place among some of the best basketball players in the NBA’s history. Many NBA fans consider the Los Angeles Lakers legend as one of the best centers of all time. Standing at 7 foot 1 inch, O’Neal is of unusually tall stature. A picture of O’Neal has recently surfaced which showed him in an unusual light.
A Twitter account named ‘Hoops Nostalgia’ posted a rare photo of Shaquille O’Neal with actor Verne Troyer. The photo shows the 7 foot 1 inch O’Neal holding 2 foot 8 inches Verne Troyer by the head. The picture, according to the Twitter account, was an incredible one captured in 2003.

Verne Troyer was a famous Hollywood actor, stunt performer, YouTube personality, and comedian. Troyer famously starred in the hit film series, ‘Austin Powers’. He played the character of ‘Mini-Me’ in the film series. In a tragic incident, Verne Troyer passed away on April 21, 2018, at the age of 49 in Los Angeles, California.
Shaquille O’Neal played for six teams over the course of his long 19-year career in the NBA. His spell at the Los Angeles Lakers remains the most successful period of his career. O’Neal won a three-peat at the Lakers where he guided them to three NBA titles from 2000 to 2002. FIBA selected him into the FIBA Hall of Fame in 2017.

Standing at 7 foot 1 inch and weighing around 325 pounds, Shaquille O’Neal found it easy to dominate the basketball court. As a freshman in high school, O’Neal dwarfed his schoolmates and friends by quite some distance. He stood at an astonishing 6 foot 6 inches while he was still in school.

Despite having such an impressive height, O’Neal is not the tallest ever player in the NBA.

Another tall player in the NBA was Yao Ming who stood at 7 foot 6 inches. George Muresan and Manute Bol are two other players who stood at 7 feet 7 inches.
