Los Angeles Lakers legend Shaquille ‘O Neal is one of the greatest ever to have played the game of basketball. He has one of the best personalities in the game of basketball. It helped him in his playing career and helps him in his broadcasting career with TNT. It also helps him get a lot of endorsement deals because of his larger-than-life personality. But everybody is not a fan of this, it seems.

According to an old interview, it seems like Shaq’s daughters are not huge fans of his many and often over-the-top ad films. His daughter Mimi O’Neal said, “It is funny but like when I see his commercials I’m always somewhere in public, so it’s like yeah ohh .” She continued, ” The general, what’s the other one, gold bonds.” Shaq’s other, daughter, Me’Arah also chipped in, saying, “That is the best commercial ever where he does a little (proceeds to do a shimmy).”

They continued, “We’re his daughters but like when we are in public and it’s like on TV’s or strikes it’s like.. even when you are by yourself it’s kind of weird, it’s like oh my god it’s my dad.” See the video below –

Shaq – The most dominant player ever

Shaq entered the league in 1992 and dominated straight away. The Orlando Magic selected him as their number one overall pick in the 1992 NBA Draft. Orlando was an expansion team then. But Shaq instantly made them competitive. Along with Penny Hardaway, they would become a dominant team.

Shaq was a physical specimen, bar none. His control over his body and the agility with which he used it was unseen for a player of his size. He controlled the paint on his own and was a sure-shot double-double threat at every game. He led Orlando to the 1995 NBA Finals but lost it in four games. Shaq would leave for Los Angeles after the next season in 1996.

Shaq’s time with the Lakers would be a productive one. Along with Kobe Bryant, they went on to win three straight NBA Championships. Shaq also won three straight NBA Finals MVP. He also won the NBA league MVP in the 1999-00 season, along with also winning the scoring title.
