However, not everything was well between them. Shaq and Kobe had an infamous beef that sent fans and the media buzzing. Interestingly enough, Shaq and Kobe’s troubled relationship is regarded as one of the reasons why O’Neal was traded to the Miami Heat.

While both of them are undisputed legends of the franchise, Jeanie Buss, the Lakers’ owner once asserted that Kobe is the greatest Laker ever. In the tweet, she also talked about how Bryant understood the team over self which led to Shaq speculating who she was talking about. Talking on The Big Podcast with Shaq, the 4 time NBA champion gave his thoughts regarding the same.

O’Neal said, “I don’t know. Is it LeBron, the greatest player ever? Is it, Westbrook, or is it AD who said he hasn’t touched a ball in 5-6 months? I don’t know.

He proceeds to read the user’s comments regarding who the greatest Laker is. The fans took names like Shaquille O’Neal, Jerry West, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and Kobe Bryant.
