Shaquille O’Neal publicly addressed his ex-wife Shaunie’s new marriage with pastor Keion Henderson on the most recent episode of his podcast. The Big Man congratulated the newlywed couple on the special occasion and wished them well on their new journey.
Shaq married Shaunie in 2002, the same year he won his third consecutive championship with the Lakers, after dating for about two years. The couple has four kids together, Shareef (2000), Amirah (2001), Shaqir (2003), and Me’arah (2006).

Shaquille O’Neal and Shaunie separated in 2007 but got back together soon. After a couple of years, Shaunie filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences”. In 2011, their divorce was finalized.

Shaq congratulated Shaunie and her husband Keion Henderson on their marriage on the most recent episode of The Big Podcast with Shaq. Co-host Spice Adams had crossed out the subject from his list of topics for discussion. But Shaq insisted on talking about it.

“Congratulations to Shaunie and her husband. She’s happy,” said the Big Diesel. “I wish her the best. I wish him the best“. Shaq also mentioned that he had never met Shaunie’s husband Keion, but would like to do so someday.
“I am happy for her. I am happy for him,” he added.

Incidentally, Shaq has publicly talked about taking full responsibility for the end of his marriage with Shaunie. In fact, the Lakers legend ascribed the problems in their marriage to his irresponsible conduct off the court. He also admitted that he regretted not being there for her in her time of need.
Shaunie’s past relationship with Shaq
Shaunie Henderson is an accomplished woman herself. She has served as the executive producer of VH1’s hit TV show Basketball Wives from 2010 to 2013. Furthermore, she created the TV show Basketball Wives LA, which aired from 2011 to 2016. She has starred in a multitude of TV shows, including Shaunie’s Home Court, and served as a producer in the show Baller Wives.

Additionally, she’s also a well-known philanthropist and a successful businesswoman. In fact, she has her own shoe line.
Shaunie and Shaq have always been amicable after separation. They have supported each other during times of distress. And more importantly, they enjoyed co-parenting their four kids.
