Who helped Shaquille O’Neal grow to $400 million?

Shaquille O’Neal is by far one of the smartest players out there. A series of clever investments helped him climb the ladder. After earning a humungous sum of $292 million from the NBA, he used his funds to become even bigger. The Los Angeles Lakers legend has become a business tycoon with a crazy portfolio. At one time, the Big Aristotle owned more than 150 car washes. Now, he is attending the 2022 International Franchise Association as a keynote speaker.

On the latest episode of ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq’, the Big Aristotle revealed the number of companies he has worked with before or is currently a part of. “I’m a part of over 100 companies, I have 30 endorsement deals, I am invested in over 200 companies, my favorite word in business is joint-ventureship,” Shaq said.

Franchises are the backbone of Shaq’s business empire. The Big Diesel has partnered with multiple big brands on his way to becoming one of the wealthiest NBA stars. His franchise venture is vast, but nothing tops his contribution to the food industry.

He has owned and sold 155 Five Guys Burgers restaurants up until now. In addition, he currently has 17 Auntie Anne’s Pretzels and nine Papa John’s franchise units to his name. Notably, the Big Diesel is also a brand ambassador for his pizza partners. He has been on Papa John’s board of directors since 2019. Apart from several franchises, Shaq has also started up a number of his own. Starting in Sin City, his Big Chicken brand now has 10 locations with several note-worthy partnerships.
