Whether it is James Harden or Dennis Rodman, NBA stars like to have lavish parties. However, former NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal restricts himself from such activities.

Talking with popular YouTuber Logan Paul on his podcast, one of the hosts asked about Shaq’s thoughts on gambling. The former Los Angeles Lakers star had a straightforward answer.

Although he indulged in such activities, Shaq stays away from these activities because of his age. Shaq said, “I used to when I was your age, now that I am a dad, I have to relax.

O’Neal turned 50 this year and he is one of the wisest minds around when it comes to money. The four-time NBA champion has a massive net worth of around $400 million thanks to smart investments and endorsement deals.

It is no secret that Chicago Bulls legend Dennis Rodman likes to enjoy his life. While most remember him for his time with the Bulls and Detroit Pistons, he had a short but memorable stint with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Shaquille O’Neal also played for the Lakers during this time when he attended one of Rodman’s parties. Needless to say, Shaq was shocked seeing the state of the parties.

He said, “Next thing I know, I’d see him at some club that night with about thirty girls on him—those crazy, techno, ecstasy highlight parties. I once walked into one of those parties. Leonardo DiCaprio’s there. Robert Downey, Jr., he’s there.

Rodman played for the Los Angeles Lakers during the 1997-98 season where he averaged 2.1 points, 11.2 rebounds, and 1.3 assists during his time. Although he played just one season, Rodman’s time in LA is remembered for various reasons.

There were rumors that linked him to the Lakers’ CEO’s daughter Jeanie Buss. This was revealed by the five-time NBA champion himself when he talked about dating the future Lakers CEO for six months in the 1990s.
