Shaquille O’Neal has been closely associated with the entertainment industry since his playing days in the NBA. The Big Diesel has appeared in many entertainment competitions and shows across various genres. The four-time NBA champ tried his hand at wrestling on several occasions. In fact, he has featured in wrestling leagues like the WWE, WCW, and IMPACT wrestling. However, his appearance at the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royale was one of his most exciting outings in the wrestling ring.

Professional wrestler Road Dogg recently revealed that Shaquille O’Neal wanted a 7 ft WWE legend to chokeslam him during WrestleMania 32 in 2016. But the former WWE CEO Vince McMahon wasn’t too eager to grant O’Neal’s request. Or so the NBA legend was told. Road Dogg discussed Shaq’s WrestleMania fight against The Big Show on the Oh You Didn’t Know podcast.

Road Dogg came back after a while pretending to be on a call with Vince McMahon and refused Shaq’s request as it would not have made any sense to Vince. The 53-year-old was aware that McMahon would refuse Shaq’s wish as he would not have wanted the Los Angeles Lakers legend to get hurt. Moreover, Road Dogg reckoned that Shaq was a fun guy to hang out with and praised him for his down-to-earth personality.

Shaq was certainly disappointed that he could not make his dream come true at the grand stage. However, the 15-time All-Star finally clinched the chance of going through the table at AEW with Cody Rhodes. The three-time Finals MVP delivered an entertaining fight until he and the Big Show were eliminated by other competitors during the match.
