Shaquille O’Neal Sounds off on Cam Newton Saying Women Should Learn to “Cook and Let the Man Take the Lead”

Shaquille O’Neal has always been opinionated and almost all the time, we see him on the right side of things. He is one of the most influential sports personalities in the world and he acts that way. Even if Shaq posts random hilarious things on his social media, he knows how his fans will look at things. 

Shaq is also a big philanthropist, which explains the trait of understanding and knowing what people want. There are many donations and charity works by Shaq. Shaq has always given back to the community and society that has given him so much. He’s a Big man with an even bigger heart.

Shaquille O’Neal slams Cam Newton on sexist remarks

Shaq on the recent episode of his podcast discussed the statement American football quarterback, Cam Newton, made about women. Cam Newton talked about women who claim themselves to be ”boss b****”. Whatever he meant by his statements, his remarks were ‘backward’ to say the least.

Shaq said, “Times have changed, and women are demanding their respect and you must give it to them. This ain’t the 60s or 70s. Be quiet, do all this – you’ve got women buying mansions and not living in them and getting new mansions, you’ve got women that are doing their own thing. You’ve got to show them their respect. And a true king doesn’t have to go to a woman and say I am the boss. They should already know and you should already know. Also, a true king lets his woman lead.”

“Like, if you look at the old ancient king movies, the king don’t even say s**t. It’s the queen that’s calling war and doing this, that’s because the king is like ‘You lead, I’ll just sit back and chill.’ That’s what true kings do, but women definitely are demanding their respect. All this be quiet and shut up, that ain’t going to fly no more.” said Shaq.

A part of the statement from Cam Newton was, “I think a lot of times when you get that aesthetic of, ‘I’m a boss b****,’ it’s like you know, you can’t cook. You don’t know how to be quiet. You don’t know how to allow a man lead.” However you look at it, Cam said things which would not be acceptable in today’s world. Shaq is absolutely right. Because even when unfortunately women had to face such plights decades ago, it was not fair. Now the times are better and things should only get better in the future for all genders.
