Shaquille O’Neal has always been super active on social media. He has always addressed whatever has been trending online. Either be it his Instagram or his Twitter, he has always spoken about things and promoted different things of different fields. Moreover, he has kept entertaining us with his social media presence, although more on Instagram than Twitter. Most recently, he replied to Elon Musk on Twitter.

Billionaire Elon Musk is just as carefree as Shaq in terms of speaking his mind out on social media. He recently surpassed Jeff Bezos to become the richest man in the world. His net worth is around 219 billion dollars.

This was not the first time Shaq had a potential interaction with the Tesla owner. Shaq once asked Elon Musk to make larger Teslas so that the 7’1” giant Shaq Diesel could easily fit in one of those.

Shaq mentioned how the Tesla cars are not ‘Shaq-friendly’. A Tesla would easily fit most people, but not the NBA legend. Shaq was seen getting into a Tesla Model S and he was clearly struggling to do so and adjust into the car. Shaq then asked, “Elon, you wanna make a big boy Tesla?”

Shaquille O’Neal defends “celebs” after Elon Musk slams bold claim

Elon Musk recently took a shot on the top profile of Twitter. Elon retweeted the tweet from World of Statistics and asked if Twitter was dying. He questioned the engagement of the top accounts based on stats like followers mainly and then likes and comments. He saw himself at 8th on the top 10 list even though he uses twitter far more actively than all other accounts.

Interestingly, Shaq came in defense of the celebrities who don’t have much activity on Twitter.

Shaq defended the “celebs”. Not all celebrities are aware of the numbers generated by the engagement on different applications, like on Instagram, people are still aware. However, elsewhere they don’t see the numbers in the same way. Celebrities measure their fame and reach based on numbers.

Moreover, the engagement on Twitter doesn’t do them much favors, which is why many of the top Twitter accounts are on the list purely based on their followers and not their numbers. Shaquille O’Neal put across this point and took a subtle dig ending the tweet with, “… but what do I know about marketing.”

Shaq spoke on their behalf as he himself uses Instagram way more than he posts on Twitter. The Lakers legend would almost post multiple stories every day on whatever entertains him on Instagram and genres vary massively.
