O’Neal spoke about Antonio Brown, a free agent who previously played for Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL. He commented on Brown’s controversial exit from a Tampa Bay game. O’Neal disclosed his displeasure with Brown’s actions but also extended support to him as a family man and father on ‘The Big Podcast with Shaq’.
O’Neal said, “Now you got a million outlets covering this guy; talking about him, embarrassing him. I’m not going to do that this time, I wish him well. I know he’s a father like Spice and myself. Know he has a wife, fiance whatever.”

He added, “I wish him well. I wish him the best. Professionally wise, Spice and myself wouldn’t handle it like that. It didn’t look good, it didn’t look professional.”
Brown involved himself in a bizarre incident during Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ game against the New York Jets. He undressed on the sideline before hurling his gear into the audience stands. Brown then proceeded to exit the arena. The Buccaneers eventually released Brown, who later commented on the incident saying, “It wasn’t necessary or professional.”

While Shaquille O’Neal has remained immensely successful in his basketball career, he has also kept his social life dominated through family commitments. Shaq has six children and four of them play basketball. By O’Neal’s own admissions, he generously provides for his close family and also extended family.

By providing for his family, O’Neal has fulfilled the promises he made to his late stepfather, Phillip Harrison. O’Neal once said, “I protect them and provide for my family.” O’Neal’s stepfather passed away in 2013, but he still honors his father’s legacy through his own family life.
