Shaquille O’Neal reveals Ben Simmons slid into his DMs for an argument

Owing to his miscommunication with the 76ers after last season, Ben Simmons hasn’t featured in a game thus far. He is still looking for a new destination, but to no avail so far. As a result, 15-time All-Star O’Neal told the guard to get back on court for Philadelphia. Unfortunately, Simmons opted out of the franchise, and wishes to find himself a new home. This meant that Shaq’s advice came as a moment of frustration for him. And it didn’t end well.

As he revealed in a recent interview, Shaq said that Simmons went as far as sliding into his DMs to start an argument. Talking about their unpleasant chat, the 4-time title winning former center said, “He kind of got in my DMs and said some things… I can’t do that. No I can’t do that. Yes, yeah.”

“All I said is you leaving your man out there, you need to play. That’s all I said. And he said some things, I’m not gonna elaborate what he said, because that’s not cool. He was mad, yeah he was probably mad coz I’m his LSU brother, and I am, I’m still his brother.”

Although they aren’t on the best of terms now, there is no doubt that Shaq only wishes the best for Simmons. Hopefully, the entire issue gets resolved at the earliest. Where do you think Simmons will play next?
