Shaq shared a story about Kareem explaining the story about Wilt. Kareem was one in an elevator with Wilt and a regular-sized man. In the video, Kareem said, ” I was in an elevator with Wilt and as the elevator was going down, some guy gets on and says ‘ Oh wow, how’s the weather up there and he said that to Wilt. Wilt spat on the dude and said it’s raining.”

It’s highly likely that wasn’t the first time Wilt would have to deal with someone like this. But this may be the first time he would have reacted that way. This incident completely shocked Kareem, especially since he looked him up as an idol. Wilt took Kareem under his wing and helped him to become a superstar. Their relationship did turn sour in the latter stages, but it got somewhat okay in the end.
