NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is known for his honesty. The 4 time NBA champion regularly gives his thoughts regarding issues regarding the basketball world and beyond in interviews and his podcast.

Recently, he was in conversation with soccer and Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry. During the interview, he talked about a host of topics in the basketball world. King Henry talked about some players getting left out of the NBA 75 list and he asked Shaq’s thoughts regarding the same.

O’Neal had an interesting answer. He talked about a time when a young O’Neal was worried he didn’t make his city’s all-star team and his father’s response to it. Shaq said, “He[Shaq’s father] said, ‘If there has to be discussion whether you should be in the team or not, are you really that good?’ My thing is, if it is not a unanimous decision, there’s nothing to talk about.”
